Mechanical Tour of the Alaska SeaLife Center
This month we are pleased to announce a tour of the mechanical systems at the Alaska SeaLife Center. Designed by EDC Inc., this facility utilizes a CO2 refrigerant heat pump system and a titanium plate heat exchanger. The 80 Ton CO2 heat pump pushes sea water through the heat exchanger then converting the captured heat through a high pressure system that is then utilized in the main building loop and baseboards.
The system has reduced the operating cost and carbon emissions!
